Güd Eats, showcasing crave-worthy plant-based eats, is opening a storefront restaurant at 2917 Early Drive (formerly Prairie Harvest Cafe) at the end of October. They will still run their food truck with a limited menu next summer.


Fabulous Faba
Higher in protein than peas and lentils, faba beans are grown in Saskatchewan and, like all legumes, enrich the soil. Faba beans were “a staple food of the Romans. It’s quite possible they conquered the Mediterranean and beyond because they had more protein,” says Bert Vandenberg, NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Genetic Improvement of Lentils at the U of S.
