Culinary Adventures on Vancouver Island

. . . and a few more in Vancouver! I am going on holidays, and this will truly be a hedonist’s* tour of Lotusland** as I have made plans to visit several different local food producers – from cider to cheese to tea. I’ll taste it all – and blog about it!

Here are just a few of the places I’ll be visiting:
     Sea Cider
     Wild Fire Organic Bakery
     Silk Road Tea
     Charelli’s Delicatessen
     Little Qualicum Cheeseworks
     Small Tea Cooperative
I’ve also been given tickets to the Main Event, the launch of Victoria’s festival of food and wine.

There will also be walks on the beach at Parksville, the Butchart Gardens carousel, and then a ferry ride to Vancouver where I’ll visit Bandidas Taqeria and the Vancouver Art Gallery where I’ll feast my eyes on drawings by Degas, Renoir, Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec and others.

It’s going to be so much fun!

* Hedonism – the devotion to or pursuit of pleasure
