Kitchen Garden at Wanuskewin
PermaSask will be helping to create a vegetable garden and food forest to provide fresh ingredients for the restaurant at Wanuskewin.
Savoury Morning Buns |
Citizen Café and Bakery serves a savoury bun. Instead of sugary fillings like cinnamon, sugar and raisins, the buns contain tasty combinations such as mozzarella, bell pepper and basil pesto or artichoke and caramelized onion. Enjoy a bun fresh for breakfast or take it home, add a bowl of hearty vegetable-rich soup and you have a quick, tasty supper.
Wine & Whiskey
Saskatoon Co-op Liquor Store has the following upcoming tastings:
June 6 – California Premium Wines
June 12 – Pink is not for Sissies – rosé wines from around the world
June 18 – Prosecco
June 20 & 21 – Highland vs. Island Scotch Whiskies
Cold One on the Patio
City Perks now has a liquor license. They’re serving Thirsty Beaver and Muskoka Detour beer along with Sibling Rivalry White and Las Hermanas Monastrell/Syrah (Bodegas Luzón, Jumilla, Spain).

Manuka Honey Chocolate Truffle Bar
A gift of chocolate is sure to make me happy, and the Manuka Honey Chocolate Truffle Bar that I received for my birthday was particularly good. I’m not sure if it’s available in Saskatoon. If you’re looking for something different, check out what’s available at Ingredients Artisan Market and at Tamarack General Store. Both stores always have an interesting selection.
