It All Depends on the Weather  It’s hard to believe that last year I purchased locally grown tulips from Kaleidoscope Gardens in the middle of April. That certainly won’t happen this year with the continuing snowfall and cold temperatures. Adi says the tulips have only just popped out of the ground and it will be another 3-4 weeks before they flower. It’s a real challenge for farmers to cope with unpredictable weather, so let’s make sure we don’t complain if our seasonal favorites are a little later than usual. Fresh Cukes! Grandora Gardens is back at the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market with fresh cucumbers. They also have hot pepper jelly and dried spices.
